There have been plenty of leaks about the up and coming Exynos 9825 and the rumoured inclusion on the Note 10.
Samsung has now launched a teaser video indicating a new, “evolved”, “next-level” “intelligent processor” is landing on August 7, so it is safe to assume the new Exynos 9825 will be featured on the Note 10 and Note 10 Plus.
One question that remains unanswered is if and what Qualcomm chip will be used for the US-bound variants. Currently, it is speculated that the Verizon models of the Note 10 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855, while the rest of the major U.S. carriers are rumoured to sell both the Note 10 and Note 10 Plus running the Exynos 9825.
According to previous reports, Samsung will make the 9825 using its 7nm extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV) equipment, which will give it a performance boost over the Exynos 9820, which powers the Galaxy S10 series and is made using the 8nm process. Theoretically, the new SoC will be on par with the Snapdragon 855 Plus in terms of efficiency and presumably offer similar performance.
It has been previously rumoured that the Note 10 will use the Snapdragon 855 Plus which would have made sense with them using a new faster Exynos 9825. However, this was letter shot down and it is now believed to launch with the normal Snapdragon 855.
The new phone and chipset will be launched on the 7th of August and we will find out more information then.
