The Galaxy Book Flex from Samsung is an extremely slick and well-built 2-in-1. Along with a strong combo of a 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB RAM, this device is unique due to its use of Samsung’s QLED tech for its display. The impressive S Pen can also be neatly stored within the laptop to avoid any mishaps.

This laptop from MSI offers some of the latest and greatest gaming specs around. The slim 16.1mm body manages to cram in an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 chip, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060, 16GB RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD. Games should look stellar too, with a Full HD 144Hz combo for the display.

The Yoga Slim 7 equipped with an AMD processor makes for one of the best value laptops around. While this Intel model may be a tad pricier, it’s still remarkably impressive – with a 4K display, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and a unique fabric grey design. It’s extremely portable too, at just 1.55kg and offering up to 11 hours of battery life.

Asus’s 14-inch VivoBook is our favourite budget laptop but, with a Prime Day discount, its sleeker higher end model has been brought down to a more competitive price. This trim ultrabook sports an AMD Ryzen 5 processor, 8GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. Along with its thin 13.9mm chassis and low 1.13kg weight, you get the added convenience of long battery life, fast charging and a solid range of ports.

Apple’s fanless MacBook Air with M1 is one of the best laptops you can buy right now, and it makes our top recommendations list. The performance produced by Apple’s new chip allows for blazingly fast speeds while remaining near silent. The design may not have changed massively, but the signature unibody build is still top-notch.

With the Surface Laptop Go, Microsoft sought to bring its stylish ultrabook capabilities down to a lower price. It didn’t really bring the price down low enough initially, but discounts like this one let you get a sturdily built student laptop with decent specs – including an Intel Core i5 processor and 128GB SSD storage.

The Surface Pro range is definitely due for a big upgrade, but if you’re in the market for a hybrid device there’s still few better. This model bags you an Intel Core i5 chip, 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD. You’ll have to fork out extra for the near-essential Surface Pro Type Cover (£90).
