The Realme C11 will be officially unveiled on the 30th of June, launching in Malaysia and Vietnam first and possibly globally later. It will likely be the most affordable Realme of this year, and it is the first to feature the MediaTek Helio G35, a yet unannounced chipset. Recent benchmarks have come out for it, and Realme has already teased the spec, so let’s see how it compares with the phones sitting above it.
The Realme C3 is currently the most affordable option they have, this is powered by the MediaTek Helio G70 chipset and the official EU price is just 160-euros or £145 but it is available from Amazon for a bargain £126.67.
The Realme 6i with the Mediatek Helio G80 was also recently launched which I reviewed back in April. At the time of launch, I didn’t think it offered the best value for money compared to the Realme 6, but it has since dropped down to £170 making it much more attractive.
Then there is the Realme 6, which I think is one of the best options on the market for a balance of power and affordability thanks the MediaTek Helio G90T. It does cost £219 so not really a fair comparison, but it does show how much more performance you can get from mid range phone.
With only limited information available, this comparison is not complete, but I will update it when the phone launches.
MediaTek Helio G35 vs Helio G70 vs Helio G80 vs G90T Specification Comparison
CPU
MediaTek Helio G35 – Same as the MediaTek Helio P35
The only official information we have is that the phone has Cortex-A53 CPU cores. The leaked benchmarks show it is 8-cores (which is a given) and the base frequency is 2.3Ghz.
With this using the older Cortex-A53 it will almost certainly be 8 x Cortex-A53 @ 2.3Ghz – and this would give it a identical specification to the MediaTek Helio P35 which launched a couple of years ago, and similar to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626
MediaTek Helio G70
There is a massive jump going to the G70, which is likely why the naming convention has the number so low for the G35.
- 2x Cortex-A75 at 2.0GHz
- 6x Cortex-A55 at 1.7GHz
MediaTek Helio G80
The G80 is almost identical to the G70, just with the A55 cores clocked a little different.
- 2x Cortex-A75 at 2.0GHz
- 6x Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz
MediaTek Helio G90T
Finally, the G90T easily outclasses all the others.
- 2 x Cortex-A76 @ 2 GHz
- 6 x Cortex-A55 @ 2 GHz
GPU
MediaTek Helio G35
What we don’t know is the GPU. While this is the same CPU architecture as the Helio P35, that uses the IMG PowerVR GE8320, whereas the Helio chipset use Arm Mali GPUs.
With the G70 having a Arm Mali-G52 MC2, you can expect something comfortably below this.
MediaTek Helio G70
The Helio G70 uses the Arm Mali-G52 MC2 with a max GPU frequency of 820MHz
MediaTek Helio G80
The Helio G80 uses the same Arm Mali-G52 MC2 as the G70 but with a higher max GPU frequency of 950MHz
Then the newest MediaTek Helio G85 ups that frequency further to 1Ghz
MediaTek Helio G90T
The Helio G90 series is easily the most powerful of the mdi-range chipsets that Mediatek have (until you get to the 5G Dimensity options. This has an Arm Mali-G76 MC4 running at 800MHz.
So that is a superior GPU and twice the cores as the G70/G80

Overall
Clearly, the Realme C11 is not going to be the most powerful phone on the market, nor is it trying to be. It will no doubt sell like hotcakes when it launches in Malaysia and Vietnam, plus India when it arrives there. In the UK, if it is priced low enough, it could also do well, people who just need a phone that works or are on a very tight budget may like it.
It will be interesting to see how well the MediaTek Helio G35 performs vs MediaTek Helio P35 and how the price compared to phones equipped with that chipset
Currently, phones with the MediaTek Helio P35 include:
- Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite (£144)
- Oppo A31
- Samsung Galaxy A21
- Huawei Honor 8A
