Garmin Venu, Vivoactive 4 & 4S, Vivomove Style & Vivomove 3 to be released at IFA 2019

Another day, another Garmin leak. This time from serial leaker Roland Quandt who is generally regarded as very reliable.

This leak backs previous information the Vivoactive 4 will arrive at IFA. He leaks also do not mention the Fenix 6, which backs my suspicion that the flagship device will not be launching at the end of this month as the Amazon listing indicated.

Roland Quandt doesn’t reveal any specifics about the watches, and these are just another set of renders albeit much higher quality than the previous leaks.

His information indicated that 6 watches in total will be released. The Garmin Venu, Vivoactive 4, Vivoactive 4s, Vivomove Style, Vivomove 3s and Vivomove 3 Sport.

Garmin Venu

The Garmin Venu with it’s 43mm body is the most interesting product mentioned as this is not currently part of the Garmin line-up. This seems to be sitting above the Vivoactive 4 in terms of the line-up and could be a sort of flagship hybrid watch/smartwatch not full-on multi-sports like the Fenix range, but more advanced than some of the models lower down. The renders don’t look that much different from the Vivoactive 4 though.

There have been various rumours of an AMOLED used on the Vivoactive or even a WearOS based watch(unlikely). So if any of these new features are to land I would bet it is on a brand new product from Garmin. The main clock image does appear to indicate a higher resolution display than normal.

Just like the Vivoactive 4 and Vivoactive 4s will include Spotify and Deezer support, as well as activity tracking for cyclists, swimmers and runners. NFC (Near Field Communication) and payment support will be available too.

The Vivomove Style, Vivomove 3 Sport and Vivomove 3s all come with classic analogue hands that make them look like a more traditional timepiece.

The Vivomove Style appears to offer the increased display size that was rumoured to come on the Vivomove 3, whereas the Vivomove 3 models look like they retain the same design.

All of these still include screens to display stats and offer fitness features like a heart rate monitor and activity tracking.

As I will be at the show this year, I will make sure to get as many photos and as much hands-on time with the devices as possible.
