We have seen a lot of leaks and rumours about the new Honor X10-series. It is believed that Honor switched the naming scheme from 10X to X10 to avoid potential confusion with the Redmi 10X smartphone which is also due to launch soon.
The latest leak comes from Weibo and a user named Really Assen. That user claims the phone will have a display running at 2400 x 1080 but the size of the screen is still under wraps. It is possible that the phone will have a punch-hole style cutout for the selfie camera.
For the chipset, the phone will have a Kirin 820 SoC powering the phone which has a 5G modem built-in. It will be accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage. In the camera department, the phone happens to have 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor on the front while the back of the device will have a triple-camera setup featuring a 40MP Sony IMX600y sensor supported by an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP depth sensor.
In terms of battery capacity, the phone has a 4200mAh cell with a 22.5W charging support. It is expected to run on Android 10-based EMUI 10.0. The phone is said to cost CNY 1,799 (£204) for the 64GB version while the 128GB version will cost CNY 1,999 which works out as £227. That would make it one of, if not, the cheapest 5G phone to launch.
Most of the specs between the X10 Pro and the X10 are shared. The differences, which are not a lot, are listed below. The X10 Pro has a
- 90Hz refresh rate display
- 8GB RAM with 128GB/256GB storage variants
- Quad-camera with an additional 2MP macro sensor
- Starting price CNY 2,399(£273.35) going up to CNY 2,699 (£307.53)
