I have been a big fan of the Huawei laptops, both the Intel-based Matebook 13 and AMD based Matebook 14 are superb and offer excellent value for money.
The one laptop I haven’t tried is the flagship Huawei MateBook X Pro.
This is the first Huawei laptop to get a 2021 refresh and as you would expect it is almost identical to the MateBook X Pro 2020 but with the main computery bits upgraded.
MateBook X Pro 2021 vs MateBook X Pro 2020
This includes a shift to the latest 11th gen Intel CPU, this year you only have one choice and that’s the Intel Core i7-1165G7 Processor which features Intel Iris Xe Graphics. The older laptop used the Nvidia GeForce MX250.
The RAM had been bumped up to 16 GB LPDDR4x 4266 MHz vs 16 GB LPDDR3 2133 MHz.
You also now get Wi-Fi 6, unlike the 2020 Matebook 14 & 14 models.
Storage is also 1TB NVMe vs having the option between 512 GB / 1 TB
The laptop retains the same 13.9 inch display running at 3000 x 2000 and has the same overall dimensions all within an ultra lightweight package of 1.33kg.

According to the Huawei website, the RRP of the i7 2020 model was £1699.99 while this model is £100 less at £1,599.99. Amazon already list the 2021 model with a small discount at £1,560.99
Of course, you could save yourself quite a bit by opting for last years model. Huawei list the I7 model for £1199.99 and Amazon have the i5 10210U model for just £819.99.
