Following the Google I/A, several companies have announced that their phones can experience Android 12 Beta 1 immediately.
This includes the Realme GT, which launched in China back in March.
Most people will never install a beta OS on their phone, so the news is largely irrelevant to the general consumer. However, it shows a commitment from Realme to keep their phones up to date in a timely manner, something many other brands fail to achieve.
While that is good news, what piqued my interest was the confirmation that the Realme GT is launching globally soon.
Realme confirmed the Realme Race Pro, now Realme GT, back in late January, stating it was coming in Q1 2021. Technically, they launched within that timeframe, but I had hoped this would be the global launch. Last years flagship Realme X50 Pro was launched in the UK back in April 2020.
Realme have also hinted at the launch of the Realme X9 Pro, which the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 within Q1, too. This has not been launched, but the Realme GT Neo has a similar spec.
While there is no confirmation on exactly when the phone launches, I would expect before the end of May.
