TCL Roku TV comes to the UK – 55-inch 4K RP620K just £449 – 65-inch £549

All the current TCL TVs in the UK use Android TV, including the latest TCL C82 Mini LED and C72 QLED range.

However, US users have had access to TVs equipped with the popular Roku platform for a while now, and this is finally coming to the UK.

It has been a few years since I have used any device running Roku, but the interface is famously easy to use, and they support one of the widest ranges of streaming services on the market.

Roku also prides themselves on their updates and the updates get rolled out to devices that are several years old. This is something that can’t always be said about some brands running Android TV, and I am struggling to recall the last time my Toshiba TV with Firefox OS got an update.

The new TVs fall into the more affordable end of the market, and this should work well with Roku, giving uses an excellent all in one solution.

The TVs themselves are not short on features. Along with the extensive streaming services, the TVs support HDR Pro, which uses Dynamic Colour Enhancement through 3D LUT technology to deliver vivid colours for all signal types, including HDR10, HLG and SDR. Both series also feature Freeview Play and an integrated Freeview tuner, enabling consumers to enjoy live and on-demand TV.

The 4K RP620K series, you also get Dolby Vision, which preserves and delivers entertainment in all its intended glory.
